As part of Showcase Cinemas’ strategy to thrive in a competitive marketplace, they coupled a significant cinema refurbishment rollout with the relaunch of their Insider loyalty scheme.
Having worked with Showcase for many years, m360 headed the initial launch of Insider in 2011 and were delighted to be reappointed for the relaunch project.

A worthy sequel
With more Insider rewards on offer than ever before, the refreshed brand captures the excitement with added vibrancy, while retaining a visual link to the original brand.
We’ve developed new messaging to promote all that Insider has to offer, and delivered a multi-channel, two-stage launch campaign to UK audiences.
Power in your hands
For the first time, Insider rewards can be redeemed against free tickets, snacks and drinks; as well as receiving invites to film premières, news and exclusive promotions.
The visual approach for the launch campaign reflected the new benefits by making the Insider card the star of the show with a visual suggestion that the card empowers Insider members, giving them more every time they visit the cinema.
The creative formed the basis for a strong visual toolkit that’s been applied across digital and print media, display advertising, social graphics, exhibition stands and personalised welcome packs.
All praise to m360 for both the original and refreshed Insider branding. The dynamic look and powerful calls-to-action are perfect as an extension to the Showcase brand and we’re enjoying a resurge in new members.

A box office hit
The Insider scheme relaunched successfully and now has over a million members and growing. It’s something we’re very proud to be a part of.
And because there needs to be an app for that, Showcase have ensured Insider members can access a digital version of their membership card through the Showcase Cinemas app – so no more awkward ‘I forgot my card’ moments!
