The University of Nottingham Students’ Union (UoNSU) is a 33,000 strong diverse community, made up of undergraduates, PhD’s, elected student officers, SU staff, volunteers, pioneers, and many more. We were appointed to create a new identity through a refresh awareness campaign involving focus groups, surveys, and the student’s choice on the final design route.
The project focus was to transform the brand to improve connection and understanding of the Union, what it represents, and to create a sense of belonging. We developed a unique identity which represents the encompassing community, and its versatility extends across the vast amount of varied collateral, and applied this to a new suite of marketing materials including digital screen animations, signage, brochures, digital comms, and displays.
Thorough development of the digital brand guidelines has helped to ensure seamless consistency is applied on and offline post-launch, and that the Union’s new identity and tone of voice stays true to its values and continues to improve brand experience and inclusion.
