A new virtual open day for York St John University is now live! We’ve been hard at work creating the unique mobile-friendly marketing platform that encapsulates the essence the city and University to prospective students.
The creative route takes form of a virtual pop-up book with photographic style and interactive animations to tell the story of York St John University. The site invites visitors to immerse themselves in all of the life and culture of York St John without having to leave the comfort their sofa.
We’ve been busy optimising our website! If you’re viewing on a mobile device you’ll notice it’s now easier than ever to view and navigate through our website.
And it’s not only benefiting people as they browse the pages of our site, it’s also helping them to find us on Google when they search from a mobile device. That’s because as of 21 April Google implemented new ways for ranking search results, specifically for mobile usage. Prior to the changes, having a site that looked good on a mobile didn’t affect search engine rankings. However, from Tuesday 21 April, Google searches from your mobile device favours sites that are optimised for mobile – in other words websites that have a Responsive Web Design or Mobile version. This means websites that haven’t been made optimised for mobile may be pushed further down the rankings in mobile search.
By making your website responsive, you will not only help future-proof your website but will also give it a better chance of ranking higher than your competitors, many of which may have not yet considered mobile friendly websites. If your site hasn’t been optimised for mobile, feel free to get in touch with us on email@example.com and we can talk to you about how it can be transformed.
We’re delighted to have been shortlisted as finalists for the Drum’s Design Awards 2015. We have received recognition for our #FestiveSelfies promotion that we sent out to our clients before Christmas which encouraged people to take a selfie using our specially designed cards, and in return we donated money to a charity of their choice. All of the selfies made it onto our bespoke campaign web page, which gave us a smile!
Fingers crossed we’ll go on to win the award later this month!
When a client asks us to organise and art direct a photoshoot featuring a load of really cute dogs, we don’t need asking twice! And that’s exactly what happened when Whimzees instructed us to create bespoke imagery that would be used across their integrated advertising campaigns during the next twelve months. We had the very tough job of shortlisting and selecting the cutest dogs to become the faces of Whimzees. We then had a two-day photoshoot which captured how much the dogs loved the tasty, all-natural chews. Whoever said “don’t work with animals” doesn’t know what they were talking about – all of the dogs were a dream! Check out some of the highlights with this behind the scenes video. Thanks to all the amazing dogs and Page One Photography.
m360 were appointed by the DHP Family to design and build a new website for the No Tomorrow festival taking place in June this year.
2015 will be No Tomorrow’s second festival. And after the huge success of the 2014 event, it was felt that it needed an online stage that it could be proud of. We started by profiling the typical festival goers and identified the ways that they would interact with the site. The result was a responsive site that worked really well on mobiles as well as having great design across the desktop version. And of course loads of ways to share content!
We’re delighted to be launching www.firemizer.com – a brand new website for our global client, Firemizer. The launch of the site signifies an exciting time for the brand as it looks to grow rapidly throughout 2015, offering customers the chance to purchase products all over the world via the multi-lingual, e-commerce website. The site also features responsive web design so it’s great to use on a desktop or mobile device. The UK version of the site is now live and taking orders, with a US and numerous European versions on the way in the next few weeks.
The end of 2014 saw the completion and launch of LSE’s Virtual Open Day website. Designed and built by m360 to engage with potential students and particularly those unable to attend live open days on site. This type of engagement is increasingly important for LSE, with their growing overseas market.
You can walk around their hall and chat to staff and students about applications, accommodation or careers – all from the comfort of your laptop or phone! Join in at lse.ac.uk/virtualopenday
Our client Fancy Fresher has won the 2014 Start Up Loans Award – in recognition of his innovative business and entrepreneurial approach. We designed and built the website for Fancy Fresher, an online fancy dress business. Fancy Fresher is partnered with 14 universities across the country offering students customisable fancy dress packs bespoke to their universities’ official freshers’ week events – direct to their digs! The website was created to have maximum uni-student appeal and a quick, no nonsense approach to finding stuff on the site! Fancy Fresher started with a start-up loan – a government loan to help budding entrepreneurs to get their businesses up and running. Successful businesses like Fancy Fresher are then recognised for their creativity and innovation as a way of inspiring other businesses to do the same. October sees the return of our Account Director, Sarah. With over ten years experience of projects and pitches… and having a baby… under her belt, Sarah returns to the business with all her expertise (now including motherhood) as our Client Services Director. Sarah will be responsible for driving m360 forward, leading on new business opportunities as well as developing m360 to meet the ever-changing demands of our industry. She’s delighted to be back and having swapped a babbling baby for the m360 studio, she’s relishing adult conversation again. We feel she may be disappointed…
